Help end CO₂ slaughter for UK pigs

Urge Defra to release the consultation

Every year, nine million pigs are lowered into high concentrations of CO₂ gas where they experience extreme pain, panic, and severe distress before finally losing consciousness after up to 60 seconds. It has been months since the Government announced they would consult on banning CO₂ slaughter for pigs, but the consultation still hasn’t been released.

Please urge Defra to release the consultation.

Urge Defra To Consult On CO₂ Slaughter For Pigs

No life should end in screams.

Help end this unnecessary and abhorrent practice. Email the Government to finally end CO₂ slaughter for UK pigs. Nine million pigs each year in the UK continue to suffer from this cruel practice, despite more humane alternatives already existing.
