Over 10,000 voices across the UK have already spoken out against cages for egg laying hens and now we’re making sure their voices are heard in Parliament.

We took our beautiful replica red phone box onto the streets last summer and invited people to step inside and experience the cramped space a UK caged hen lives her life within; equivalent to four people in a phone box! We recorded many heartfelt messages from the public inside the phone box and were overwhelmed by more than 10,000 emotional written messages we received, all ‘calling’ for the UK Government to End the Cage Age for UK hens. Together, these messages show the strength of public support for change.

We have turned these messages into a Compassion Phone Book that, along with our red phone box, we’re taking inside Parliament as an interactive exhibition for a whole week! MPs and parliamentarians will be able to step inside the phone box and experience first-hand the cramped conditions these hens face every day. They will also be able to hear the public messages and look through the Compassion Phone Book.

This is a crucial moment in our push to End the Cage Age.
