End the Cage Age for UK hens

On 12 November, Compassion will be organising an End the Cage Age Parliamentary reception, hosted by Irene Campbell MP. The event will be an opportunity to highlight to politicians why the UK must ban the use of cruel cages for every egg laying hen in the UK.

There are 7 million UK hens suffering in cages right now. Confined in ‘enriched cages’, they have little more space than a sheet of A4 paper each. They can't adequately forage, dustbathe, see the light of day, or even fully stretch their wings.

Our Parliamentary reception is a crucial opportunity for politicians to hear why we must end the use of cages for egg laying hens. Please take action and ask your MP to attend.
