Why our voices?

Our Voices is an EU-wide campaign where our voices — representing people and animals — come together in one powerful video. This video will be the main tool driving campaign actions across Europe, from events to advocacy moments, showing EU leaders the united call for change.

Our goal is to ensure the European Commission delivers its End the Cage Age proposals by the end of 2026 and free around 300 million farm animals from their cages.

Action

Add your voice to the movement and be part of one powerful message to end the cage age. Record a short video about 6 seconds, max 15 MB—of yourself saying:

  • “Hear my voice to end the cage age” or;
  • “I am his / her / their voice. End the Cage Age” whilst holding one of the farm animals.

Your clip will become a part of a powerful compilation video — the main tool of the Our Voices campaign. It will be featured in online campaigns, public events, and other advocacy activities, ensuring EU decision-makers see the widespread support for a cage-free future.

By contributing your voice, you are helping to make this message impossible to ignore, showing that millions of EU citizens want a change.

How to Record Your Video

  • Orientation: Portrait (vertical) if using a phone.
  • Length: Around 6 seconds.
  • Framing: Face and shoulders clearly visible.
  • Props: You may include farmed animals next to you or behind you or items like plushies or pictures to represent “their” (animals’) voices. Farmed animals include; hens, pigs, rabbits, chickens, quail, ducks, geese and calves.
  • Background: Quiet, well-lit, plain or uncluttered.
  • Lighting: Face a natural light source, like a window.
  • Sound: Quiet space, speak clearly and with energy.
  • File: MP4 or MOV format, max 15 MB.

Consent usage terms and conditions

“I consent to Compassion in World Farming International to use, share, publicise and edit my video and audio in the End the Cage Age campaign. This includes use across digital platforms, media outlets, events, and campaign materials, ensuring my contribution can be adapted and amplified to support the campaign’s objectives.

I understand that my individual video submission will be deleted after the creation of the final compilation video and that the compilation video may be used and shared until the conclusion of the End the Cage Age campaign, after which it will no longer be circulated."
