Stop ferry companies from transporting live farmed animals in the EU

Send Your Email

This year over 140,000 unweaned calves have been transported from Ireland to France. A journey that takes around 18 hours and breaches EU regulations, as these young animals are not fed milk replacer as required.

These vulnerable calves often experience overcrowding, exhaustion and hunger on board these ships. And following these sea journeys their suffering continues by road, with their final destinations being as far as the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Poland.

We have already made history with the 2024 ban to end live exports for fattening or slaughter from Great Britain, now it's time to end the suffering of live exports in the EU!

Please email Brittany Ferries, Irish Ferries and Stena Line to say that you are firmly against their decision to subject thousands of farmed animals to immense suffering.
