STOPTHEMACHINE

All around the world, elephants, jaguars, penguins and other endangered species are under threat of extinction as their habitats are destroyed to grow crops. And vast quantities of these crops are being fed to factory farmed animals. Please join Compassion’s major global campaign to stop the factory farming machine in its tracks, before it is too late.

Factory farming is a destructive machine. It churns out vast quantities of cheap meat, milk and eggs, from animals suffering in cruel, caged and crowded systems. In turn, these animals are fed on pesticide- and fertilizer-soaked crops, grown on land that was formerly vital habitat for some of the world’s most endangered species.

Stop The Machine Elephant

There is a way we can stop this. We need to provide farmers with financial incentives to move away from factory farming, and we need the EU Commissioner for the Environment, Karmenu Vella, to demand this. The Common Agricultural Policy is being reviewed right now, and we need Commissioner Vella to insist that any subsidies must support farming which respects animal welfare, and works in partnership with nature to preserve wildlife.

This is urgent. For the animals suffering in factory farms, and for the animals struggling to survive as their habitats are destroyed. Please contact Commissioner Vella, using your own words or the text provided, to ask him to STOPTHEMACHINE.

Take action
